Picture of Iain tait
Name: Iain Tait
Age: Same age as my tongue and a little older than my teeth.
Position:Newsletter editor and web designer.

Since leaving school I have lived and worked all over the United Kingdom
and have seen a lot of the world, I served in the Royal Navy for ten years
and then became a taxi owner for twenty years. I am married for the
second time and have four children and three grand children.

I became disabled on July 15th 2002 and have been able to get one part time
job for six weeks but was unable to cope with the work and the ailment

I became a founder member of Forward MID and now take on the role of editing
the newsletter and I am also taking on the role of web design and we now have
the web page up and running. Being part of Forward MID lets me get out and meet people and explain to them what it is like to be in a wheelchair and how some people treat me as a patient and not a person. in 2006 I had a major operation and I am now able to walk short distances again but I
easily get tired.

I believe that when I am home that I give my family the best and not what is left.
